The Library subscribes to a range of magazines, which are available to borrow or to read in the Library. These include:
 
Aquila – lots of general interest articles, often linked to school subjects, for Yrs.7-8. Monthly.
Flipside – fascinating, weird and wacky science and technology magazine, of interest to all year groups. Monthly.
BBC History – Full spectrum of history articles, mainly for Yrs.9-11. Monthly.
National Geographic – The world’s number one geography magazine also contains lots of science and conservation articles, mainly for Yrs.9-11. Monthly.
Sew Today - Lots of ideas for Textiles students, including the latest patterns from Vogue and Butterick, plus technical tips. 10 issues per year.
Cosmos - Popular science bi-monthly, which aims to make science issues a part of popular culture. Mainly aimed at KS4 and teachers.
School Sport - a bi-monthly magazine aimed at anyone involved in playing or organising school sport. "Encouraging excellence. Promoting participation."
tBk - Loads of book reviews, author interviews and the very latest in children's fiction. A must for entusiastic readers from Yrs 7-8.
Bird life – RSPB magazine, which includes lots of interesting stuff about bird watching, birds and wildlife, for Yrs. 7-8. Bi-monthly. (Back issues only)
iClaro! – Spanish language magazine, covering topical issues and news stories, for GCSE Spanish students. Termly. (Back issues only)
Cascade – French language magazine and cassette, covering topical stories, for GCSE French students. Termly. (Back issues only)
All magazines are shelved in file boxes, in the middle of the Library, under the ‘Animals’ shelves. Why not check them out?
